First, make sure your makeup won%26#039;t clog your pores and oil free. It should say on the makeup. In the summer time, heavy makeup will tend to melt off, so try not to put too much on and see if you can get ones that say they have stay on power and won%26#039;t slide off easily with sweat.

Invest in a good concealer that is cake-y and thicker than the liquid ones you%26#039;d put under your eyes. This way, when you put that on your pimples, it would layer on top of it and cover it up. Try not to use your fingers since they have oils on them - but if you have to use your fingers, make sure you wash your hands and dry them.

Once your concealer is on, use (for the summer) a tinted moisturizer that matches your skin tone. You want to try to look as natural as possible, specially in the heat. Remember that: don%26#039;t put too much makeup on - concealer, tinted moisturizer, a little blush (preferably powder) and some waterproof mascara usually does the trick. Eyeshadow if you want, but lighter in the day and heavier at night. Heavy make-up/foundation will cake around creases and settle where you don%26#039;t want them to, making wrinkles look deep. In the winter time, you can use a foundation over the concealer and maybe some loose powder over it to make the foundation stick longer.

What you want to avoid, though, if you have oily skin and suffer from acne, are the powders with talc, gel blushes (like the ones from the brand Tart that opens and closes like a deodorant stick) and non oil-free makeup. You can also use a skin primer that absorbs oil before you put your concealer on. And, lastly, if you can find a moisturizer with more than spf10 that would also be awesome. This is probably more than you asked but I wish someone had told me these things when I had just started putting makeup on and suffer(ed) from acne.
